Injuries

So today I'm nursing some injuries, after a 3 hours of training last night.
The funny thing is, my worst injury comes from accidentally kicking the dogs dish during one of my late night somnambulistic forays into my kitchen! I told my husband that it's karma - I know damn well eating cookies at 2 a.m. is NOT a good thing. Now my toe is reminding me of the fact every step!
It wasn't as bad last night at training cause I had no shoes on and I taped the toe.
The other injuries are a chronic painful shoulder, and I re-injured my sprained foot while practicing rolls on the mats last night. Its all purple again, but not as bad as when I first tore it up a couple months ago. I can walk on it.
Just seems like one of the main obstacles to overcome with training in Martial arts are the injuries. You have to expect them, deal with them, work through them, and I suppose learn limitations from them.
I'm always of the mindset that I should work through an injury so that I don't get out of shape from the layoff and so that the injured part of me doesn't freeze up and get worse. That's what I worry about with the shoulder. My right shoulder used to feel like this, and now it has healed. So, I'm waiting the left to do the same hopefully! I also had some very bad tendonitis in my achilles tendons on both feet and that resolved by working through it too. It just HURTS to do it. I'll let you know if this shoulder resolves too.
